What is a picapp image?
A picapp image enables publishers, bloggers, and website owners to incorporate high-end images from stock photography
leaders in their online destination. The content is licensed to the publisher free of charge under the website terms
and includes an advertising mechanism to facilitate royalties to the content owners.

-
Why should I use high-end stock photography?
Stock photography refers to photos taken by leading photographers that are used in high quality publications such as
magazines and newspapers in order to engage readers with the articles. These photos generally cost hundreds,
if not thousands, of dollars to license for use. Picapp formed partnerships with the world's leading stock photography
libraries so that you can use these images in your site... free of charge!

-
How does this content differ from what I can find today on search engines image sections (i.e. Google\Yahoo images)?
picapp.com images give you 3 advantages over images you can find today on the web:
(1) You don't have to settle for second-best. Picapp images are the best images money can buy (but it's free for you).
(2) While image search engines guess what is the content of the image, all picapp images are professionally tagged
so you know that when you search for "boy puppy sunset smile" you'll find exactly that! (3) When you use images found
on the web with no permission from the content owner, it is very likely you are infringing on someone's copyright without
even knowing about it. With picapp you don't have to worry about any of that since use of picapp images is completely,
100% legal under the terms.

-
What do I gain by being a picapp member?
picapp.com members gain access to the best and latest images available for publishers on the web. For example,
bloggers writing about this morning's press conference can illustrate their post with high-quality images from
the conference! Celebrity bloggers can post the latest images of the hottest celebrities and not have to worry
about copyright infringement issues.

Do you have any tips for getting better search results?
Yes! Please use the following guidelines when entering keywords and other search terms
to provide you with an optimal set of results:
-
If you enter more than one keyword, the search will be conducted as if AND were inserted
between each of the search terms. Commas aren't necessary to separate multiple search terms
(commas are treated as AND in keyword searches).
- Keywords are not case-sensitive; it doesn't matter whether you use uppercase or lowercase
letters, or any combination of the two.
- You may search using keywords, image IDs or even a photographer name.
- Each image has many keywords that can be used for searching. Some examples of different
types of keywords include:
- A person’s name (Queen Elizabeth, Kobe Bryant, and so on)
- A specific event (2006 Winter Olympics, world cup skiing, and so on)
- A location (Greece, Seattle, and so on)
- A concept (love, joy, and so on)
- An activity (cooking, working and so on)
- A view (portrait, full length, and so on)
- To find a specific date, use the date range list. (Entering a year as a keyword in the Search box
will show events for an entire year, but not specific dates.)
-
How do I embed the image to my blog?
You can embed the image in your blog in 2 ways: you can copy the picapp HTML tag code on the publish page
